TORNADO MAGNET: A SALUTE TO TRAILER COURT WOMEN
A Guys In Disguise production
Written, directed and performed by Darrin Hagen
Friday, January 16
Westmark Whitehorse, 11pm
Tickets $15

In this macaroni-and-cheese tribute to the mighty mothers of mobile home country, Hagen, a 7-foot vision in trailer trash drag, debunks the myths of trailer court life. From pink flamingos to plaid furniture, the ins and outs of life on wheels are illuminated by his character, Dotty Parsons, Supermom. In her battle to fight "mobile homophobia", no souvenir cushion is left unturned: rituals, diet, furnishings, collections, family, and the most mysterious: The Trailer Court Man.

Tornado Magnet was created in 1997, where it performed to a sold-out crowd at the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival. It has since played to sold-out crowds at the Globe Theatre in Regina, the Winnipeg Fringe Festival and Theatre Network in Edmonton. It has also been adapted into a short film, produced by Blue Sky Communications.

"A skilled comic playwright and actor...his Dotty is a cross between John Cleese and Lily Tomlin."
— Liz Nicholls, Edmonton Journal
