Christine worries she’s overweight, fights with her parents, wants a
baby, feels stuck in Whitehorse, and is panicked about turning 30. As the dreaded
day approaches, spending her birthday in a fantasy theme room in a West Edmonton
Mall hotel becomes her obsession. Nothing, not a boss refusing to give her
time off, a laid-off boyfriend, $600 in repairs on his truck, her fear of driving
alone or a blizzard in -40° February will stand in her way.
A second stage co-production with Gwaandak Theatre Adventures.
