Acclaimed family entertainer, singer/songwriter, composer, actor, writer, author, and TV star Fred Penner returns to the Yukon with his simple, message: “Never underestimate your ability to make a difference in the life of a child.” Penner crawled magically out of that hollow log nearly 900 times over 12 seasons on Fred Penner’s Place and has recorded twelve albums that have sold over a million copies. He is a two time Juno winner (and an eight-time nominee), a four time recipient of the Parents’ Choice Award and is a member of the Order of Canada. Another of his albums, Happy Feet, was named Best Children’s Album of the Year by the USA’s Entertainment Weekly. A gentle giant of the family entertainment industry, Fred is also the first children’s entertainer to headline at the Los Angeles Amphitheater.

A devoted father of four and husband of 23 years, Fred Penner describes meeting his wife Odette as “love at first sight.” Inspired by his sister’s pure love of music, the man who had planned to become an economist, made a choice to become a performer. Fred credits his wife’s dream to start a children’s dance theatre program as the catalyst that propelled him into this career. After one of their performances, a member of the audience approached, offering to finance an album of his music. The result was The Cat Came Back, the classic album that launched Fred’s career.

Seats for Fred Penner at the Yukon Arts Centre are assigned.
Kids under 3 get in free at both venues, however, for fire regulations, Kids between the ages of 2 and 3 must be issued their own ticket (seat) at the Yukon Arts Centre. Please let the Box Office know when you purchase your tickets how many kids will be coming to the show that fall into that age group. Thanks for your understanding!
